Job summary

Amphenol High Speed Products Group in Nashua, NH is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the HSIO Products team. You will design and develop components for High-Speed IO interconnect devices, applying basic mechanical engineering principles and performing analyses as required.

The role involves supporting verification, fabrication, environmental testing, and documentation such as drawings and specifications, with opportunities to lead sustainment and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 3-5 years of electromechanical product design/support experience.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and performing tolerance assessments (ASME Y-14.5 a plus).
• Proficiency with SolidWorks 2018 or higher and basic mechanical analysis.
• Familiarity with Structural and Thermal FEA software.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop elements of High-Speed IO interconnect devices to meet specs.
• Perform static, dynamic and heat transfer analyses as needed.
• Support fabrication and environmental testing of devices.
• Prepare drawings, specs, reports and design review packages.
• Lead sustainment and root-cause analyses for product lines.
• Provide engineering support to production and manage material issues.
