ButterflyMX, Inc. is seeking a stellar Mechanical Engineer to design, develop and support the mechanical aspects of our hardware products.

You will work on-site at our Hardware Engineering lab in Southern California, leading all mechanical, physical, and thermal aspects from concept through production support. You will collaborate across product, industrial design, electrical, firmware, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• SolidWorks proficiency with FEA capability.
• Significant experience with sheet metal, cast and machined metal and plastics manufacturing processes.
• Strong fundamentals in forces, torques, mass and basic thermodynamics.
• Curious, product-focused and accountable in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about design and the creation of physical products.

Responsabilidades

• Own mechanical design from requirements through production, including enclosures and mounting systems.
• Translate requirements into robust mechanical solutions balancing function, reliability and cost.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate using 3D printing, CNC machining, and tooling.
• Lead design reviews and communicate technical decisions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, electrical, firmware, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to align on design.
