Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstration of sound technical and problem solving skills.
• Bias for action and ability to multitask, meet deadlines and prioritize work.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong understanding of the characteristics and manufacturing processes related to various fibers products produced in the division
• Complete process improvement projects that improve quality, streamline manufacturing, or reduce production related costs
• Effectively utilize problem solving and statistical techniques to address process improvement opportunities
• Develop meaningful relationships with manufacturing, quality, and technology partners to complete project work
• Provide mentorship as needed to other engineers in the Fibers Process Development group
• Championnng a Zero Incident Mindset in the Technology and Manufacturing environments, as well as identifying and driving safety improvement projects
• Communicate effectively with all team members and stakeholders
• Develop connection to the business needs and forecasts of the Fibers Division to drive project creation and timely completion
