Job summary

Eastman, Kingsport, TN, seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer for the Fibers Process Development group. You will drive process improvements, cost reduction efforts, and support Fibers Manufacturing and Quality by applying technical expertise to fiber production processes and equipment.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and technology teams, mentor junior engineers, and champion a zero-incident safety mindset while aligning project goals with the Fibers

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated safety mindset and people skills.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of fibers manufacturing processes in the division.
• Lead process improvement projects to improve quality or reduce costs.
• Apply statistical techniques to address process improvements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and technology partners.
• Mentor other engineers in the Fibers Process Development group.
• Champion a Zero Incident Mindset in Technology and Manufacturing environments.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Align projects with Fibers Division business needs and forecasts.
