Job summary

Corbin Consulting Engineers in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking an entry-level mechanical process engineer to join a multidisciplinary team serving leading technology and industrial clients. You will contribute to design of mechanical and process systems, coordinate with other disciplines, and support project design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• 1+ years of experience in an A/E consulting environment is preferred.
• EIT certification or in-progress is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and process systems for projects ranging in complexity.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design team members.
• Participate in client design review meetings and present design strategies.
• Prepare P&ID drawings, construction specifications, sequences of operations, testing documents and reports.
• Provide field support during construction, including site verification, RFIs, and submittal reviews.

Summary

We are seeking an entry-level mechanical process engineer for our [Tempe] [Hillsboro] office who will work with a competent multi-disciplinary team of peers with a wide range of experience levels. [This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new office serving industry leaders.]

Key Responsibilities

• Design for mechanical and process systems ranging from simple to complex. Types of design can include mechanical facility upgrades for semiconductor manufacturing plants, process piping and exhaust, hydronic systems, facility HVAC, and tool installation packages.
• Coordination with design team members, both in mechanical/process and other disciplines.
• Participation in client design review meetings and presentation of design strategies.
• Preparation of P&ID drawings for various systems, construction specifications, sequence of operations, testing documents, and engineering reports.
• Services during construction, including field verification, site observation reports, responses to RFIs, and submittal reviews.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• 1+ years of experience working for an architectural/engineering (A/E) consulting firm.
• Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.
• Possessing an EIT certification, or will in the near future.
