Job summary

Brivo is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own the end-to-end design of electronic enclosures, combining SolidWorks expertise with hands-on development of manufacturable parts and light prototyping. You will work on consumer-electronics style products, rack-mounted server chassis, and rugged outdoor enclosures while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring production-ready designs.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, 4+ years in mechanical product design, and strong GD&T

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Typically four or more years of mechanical product-design experience.
• Practical knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency with manufacturable design focus.
• Experience designing with sheet metal, machined parts, plastics, extrusions, die-cast aluminum and seals.

Responsibilities

• Design product enclosures, assemblies, and mechanical components using SolidWorks.
• Develop enclosure concepts for consumer-electronics and server chassis, including rugged outdoor enclosures.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, BOMs, and product documentation.
• Design sheet-metal parts and assemblies with bends, weldments, and hardware selection.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and CAD designers.
