Job summary

Brivo is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own end-to-end design, prototyping, and production support for electronic enclosures, spanning consumer devices, rack-mounted servers, and rugged outdoor housings.

You will apply SolidWorks, design for manufacturability with sheet metal, plastics, and die-cast aluminum, mentor juniors, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver production-ready parts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Typically four or more years of relevant mechanical product‑design experience.
• Practical knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
• Understanding of product‑development processes from requirements through production.
• SolidWorks proficiency including complex part modeling, large assemblies, and sheet‑metal design.

Responsibilities

• Design enclosures, assemblies, and mechanical components in SolidWorks.
• Develop enclosure concepts for consumer electronics, rack-mounted server chassis, and rugged outdoor enclosures.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, drawings, BOMs, and product documentation.
• Design sheet‑metal parts, weldments, and hardware selection.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD designers.
