Job summary

ALogix Resource Group, LLC designs sheetmetal enclosures and weldments, working within a fast-paced team to support quotations, orders, and manufacturing projects.

The role emphasizes applying standard shop practices that meet design requirements, collaborating across quality, purchasing, assembly and design to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High level of SOLIDWORKS proficiency.
• Knowledge in an ERP system along with PDM experience preferred.
• Experience in sheet-metal & weldment design is desired.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and ability to work with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design to support of quotations, orders and manufacturing projects.
• Ensure that standard shop practices and capabilities meet the design requirements and are reflected in designs and drawings.
• Secondary tasks include troubleshooting calls, calling vendors, update ECR's, contacting customers.
• Play a key role in manufacturing and productivity improvements.
• Solve manufacturing and assembly issues on the shop floor, both for short term and long term solutions.
• Assist to launch new product development.
• Conduct reviews of jobs released to the floor.
• Work towards continuous improvements for cost reductions and quality improvements.
• Work with quality, purchasing, assembly, and design staff to ensure efficiency.
