Job summary

Intermountain Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its South Point, Ohio facility. The role focuses on planning, designing, and maintaining engineering projects with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Solid Edge.

You will coordinate with manufacturing and project teams to ensure design feasibility, reliability, and cost targets. The position requires a BSME or equivalent and relevant certifications, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent engineering education from an accredited four-year college or university.
• MSHA High Voltage Underground/Surface Certification or able to obtain within 18 months of employment.
• MSHA Low/Medium Voltage Underground/Surface Certification or able to obtain within 18 months of employment.
• PE Certification Preferred.
• OSHA Forklift Certification or able to obtain within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design project applications for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects.
• Develops scope of work and design estimates for proposals.
• Compute cost and feasibility of projects based on data analysis.
• Assist with quoting, estimating, and quantifying on projects, components, and equipment.
• Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD, Solid Edge or similar CAD software.
• Specify system components or modify products to meet design and performance specs.
• Develop concepts for electromechanical assemblies with size, precision, reliability, and cost constraints.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings for manufactured equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
