Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Product Manager I for Custom Air Handling Systems to apply an engineering background to guide product strategy and market engagement.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product Management to translate customer needs into roadmaps, evaluate new ideas, and support launches of air handling solutions while gaining exposure to pricing and portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC, Air Handling Systems, Application Engineering, Project Engineering, Product Engineering, Technical Sales, or related disciplines.
• Understanding of commercial HVAC systems and air handling equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel as required 20%

Responsibilities

• Gather customer, sales, and market feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements and innovation.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings.
• Assist in the development and execution of product roadmaps and portfolio plans.
• Help evaluate new product ideas and business opportunities.
• Contribute to product lifecycle decisions and long-term strategic planning.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to drive product initiatives.
• Help translate customer needs into clear product requirements.
• Support the successful introduction of new products, features, and capabilities.
• Serve as a technical resource for custom air handling products.
• Evaluate product enhancement opportunities and customer requirements.
• Support the development of technical content, training materials, and sales tools.
