Job summary

Superior Industries Inc. in Norcross, GA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to coordinate product design and development for bulk material handling equipment and to design conveying systems. You will create detailed drawings and evaluate design changes to improve performance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering, plus solid knowledge of drafting standards and CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Inventor. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related education.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances.
• Experience with mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed, ratios.
• Experience with shaft, bearing, and power transmission design and analysis.
• Understanding of strengths of materials and structural analysis.
• Training and/or experience in using 2D AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software is a bonus.

• Design and detail custom conveying equipment
• Perform design analysis for components
