Job summary

Superior Industries Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer in Morris, MN to coordinate product design and development for bulk material processing equipment.

You will design and detail conveying equipment, perform design analysis, create drawings, and manage bills of materials. Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and have hands-on experience with SolidWorks, design standards, and power transmission concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Understanding drafting standards, dimensioning, tolerances.
Knowledge of power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed, ratios.
Design and analysis of shaft, bearing and power transmission components.
Strengths of materials and structural analysis.
ASD steel design code.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

Coordinate product design and development for equipment used in processing bulk material and aggregates.
Design and detail custom conveying equipment.
Perform design analysis for components.
Create detail drawings.
Complete bills of material.
Evaluate and implement design changes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
