Job summary

Olin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer co-op for a 6-month term in McIntosh, AL. The role focuses on maintenance, design, and reliability of mechanical equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include leading multiple hands-on projects, contributing to plant turnarounds, and updating process documentation. Housing stipend is available, and sponsorship is not offered by Olin.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering degree program.
• GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale; transcript required each term.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credit hours) prior to first rotation.
• Able to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotation; not eligible for virtual work.
• Must obtain a TWIC and possess a valid US driver's license.
• Olin does not sponsor; must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects during the term.
• Provide reliability leadership for rotating and fixed equipment.
• Support maintenance in developing policies and procedures for preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Participate in plant turnarounds, update P&IDs, and contribute to continuous improvement.
