Job summary

Olin is seeking a Chemical Engineer 6-Month Co-Op in McIntosh, AL, offering $30.00 per hour with a housing stipend. Enrolled students will support maintenance and production to develop and implement improved chemical manufacturing processes.

You will lead at least three hands-on projects, assist operations to optimize daily performance, help resolve plant issues, and participate in turnarounds, updating P&IDs and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university as an undergraduate Chemical Engineering student.
• Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale and provide transcripts each term.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credits) before first rotation.
• Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotation and not eligible for virtual work.
• Must obtain TWIC and possess a valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects during the term.
• Assist Operations to optimize daily operations and process performance.
• Assist with resolving plant issues and drive improvements.
• Participate in plant turnarounds and update P&IDs while contributing to continuous improvement.
