Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Portland, ME office to support the Property and Buildings Team on mechanical systems for infrastructure and building projects.

You will perform design, analysis, load calculations, and prepare reports, drawings, and specifications, collaborating with engineers and planners to ensure safety, compliance, and performance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, CAM, and Revit preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior mechanical design experience.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional mechanical engineering work and conduct research and inspections of site conditions and mechanical systems.
  • Prepare data and visualizations such as reports, drawings, calculations, and illustrations for presentations.
  • Contribute to development and scoping of small- to medium-sized projects.
