Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Atlanta, GA office. You will support the Property and Buildings Team by assessing mechanical systems across infrastructure and construction projects, from concept through operation.

Responsibilities include data collection from sites and drawings, performing load calculations, preparing reports, and ensuring design and construction meet applicable codes and safety standards. Collaboration with engineers and regulators is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Experience with AutoCAD or CAM software.
• Understanding of building and infrastructure planning and design.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze data from sites, blueprints, schematics, data, and drawings for project development.
• Perform mechanical engineering work, research and inspections to ensure conformance with applicable rules, standards, and permits.
• Develop design requirements, load calculations, and operating strategies to ensure proper installation and functioning of equipment.
• Prepare data and reports, calculations, and technical drawings for presentation of findings.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners on building and infrastructure projects to meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to safety, risk mitigation, and quality control efforts on projects.
