Job summary

LaBella Associates in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Building Engineering Division. The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design, with involvement in field work, project documentation, and construction administration for building renovation and new projects.

You will contribute to concept development, design drawings, specifications, and reports while collaborating with a project team to meet client needs and scheduling goals.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience at an A/E consulting firm preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Well-rounded experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Experience with Revit or AutoCAD preferred.
• Field experience preferred.
• New York State Professional Engineer license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• System selection and calculations for design purposes.
• Conduct field work to document existing conditions.
• Work with Jr Engineers to develop drawings with building modeling software.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete project designs.
• Construction phase services such as submittal review and site visits to monitor project progress.
