Job summary

HDR, Inc. invites an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Salt Lake City team. You will guide the mechanical design from schematic design through construction documents, ensuring code compliance and timely delivery.

You will coordinate with project managers, other disciplines, and stakeholders to resolve conflicts, edit specifications, and select equipment. A PE license and AE/engineering consulting experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering required; PE license preferred.
• Master's in Architectural Engineering (Mechanical emphasis) is a plus.
• Experience designing mechanical systems for commercial/institutional buildings.
• Familiarity with MS Office and engineering software (Trane TRACE).
• Experience with an AE or engineering consulting firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical design team through schematic design to CD phase.
• Attend reviews with code authorities to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate workload to meet project schedules.
• Lead site work sessions with PM and other disciplines.
• Edit specs, select equipment, and manage addenda/change orders.
