Job summary

HDR is seeking a Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing TMT practice in Salt Lake City. You will design mechanical systems for data centers and mission-critical facilities, coordinate with clients, project teams and vendors, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, PE license, and hands-on experience with commercial/institutional designs. HDR offers employee ownership and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical design of commercial or institutional buildings.
• PE or P.Eng license.
• Experience with architectural/engineering firms.
• Teamwork and communication skills for collaborative delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design projects from start to finish, coordinating with clients and project teams.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, electrical engineers, architects and contractors.
• Develop feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications, calculations, and RFI responses.
• Review shop drawings, perform site investigations and provide construction administration.
• QA/QC on the work of junior engineers and CAD technicians.
