Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design of HVAC systems on multiple building projects.

You will work under a Senior Engineer or Project Manager to evaluate, specify and engineer HVAC systems, perform calculations, prepare design drawings, and support construction administration. The role emphasizes BIM, field surveys, and coordination with architects and other engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the buildings design industry.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of design colleagues to conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects for multiple facilities.
• Engage in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
• Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies for 3D models of mechanical systems.
• Prepare and revise documentation in mechanical phases including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
• Participate in project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide client contact on projects to establish design criteria and review progress.
• Support project specifications coordination with construction documents.
• Work on multiple projects and conduct field surveys of existing conditions.
