Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Apply fundamental design principles and analyze igniter performance; develop pressure vessel designs and contribute to solid rocket motor systems.
• Create intricate 2D/3D designs; optimize productivity via CAD commands and tools; produce precise technical drawings and GD&T interpretation.
• Perform basic CFD simulations; interpret results; conduct structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses; provide design recommendations.
• Analyze materials and manufacturing processes; contribute to insulator systems and advanced metal properties research.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan manufacturing tasks and reduce mass while ensuring reliability.
