Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer 2 in Lafayette, IN. The work will be done 100% onsite, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. This is a long-term position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $36/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer 2 will provide engineering support for large-engine current product programs, with a focus on resolving factory issues, improving existing designs, and supporting production. This position will review engine orders, identify opportunities to incorporate improved designs, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to implement changes into production. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and engines, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply mechanical design principles.

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-4 years of mechanical design experience.


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) preferred.


• Experience with Creo / 3D CAD.


• Experience with Teamcenter Visualization.


• Previous experience supporting engine, automotive, agricultural equipment, or similar mechanical products.


• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering design, shop quality, manufacturing, and operations teams.
