Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Quality/Test Engineer 2 in Lafayette, IN. The work will be performed 100% onsite, Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. This is a 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $39/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).

Job Summary

The Quality/Test Engineer 2 will support supplier quality and manufacturing operations, with a primary focus on managing supplier-related quality incidents involving incoming materials, production, inventory, and customer requirements. This role will coordinate containment, investigation, material disposition, risk assessment, and corrective actions while working cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and other stakeholders. The engineer will help minimize production disruption while ensuring quality issues are properly documented, escalated, and driven through resolution.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant professional experience; internships do not count toward the experience requirement.
• Degree is preferred but not required, per the Work Director notes.
• Experience working with manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, schematics, and technical requirements.
• Experience with structured problem solving, quality documentation, risk assessment, nonconforming material, containment, and corrective action.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and print-reading skills.
• Strong collaboration, critical thinking, attention to detail, organization, ownership, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with supplier quality, manufacturing quality, incoming material quality, or production quality.
• Experience conducting root-cause analysis and supplier corrective actions.
• Experience with 5 Why and Fishbone analysis.
• Meeting facilitation and cross-functional coordination experience.
