Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Designer with at least 3 years of experience to support the growth and expansion of our business. The position would start as a 'Mechanical Engineer/Designer' and potentially progress over time to 'Project Manager' or 'Project Engineer.'

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and Plumbing systems, including load calculations, air and piping distribution and sizing, and equipment selection.
• Prepare design layouts and schematics for commercial and industrial mechanical systems based on specific design objectives.
• Perform field work for design investigation and construction observation.
• Review designs and correspond with clients, colleagues, owners, and contractors.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to achieve completed coordinated designs and review the work of others.
• Conduct on-site investigations to confirm existing conditions.
• Develop familiarity with current mechanical codes and standards.
• Form relationships with personnel from other disciplines and manufacturing sales representatives.
• Prepare general and mechanical specifications.

Essential Skills

• Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer/Designer or Electrical Engineer/Designer for building systems.
• Experience producing construction documents for commercial or retail projects.
• Knowledge of engineering calculations.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and building design.
• Familiarity with commercial construction practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.87/hr.
