Job summary

Advanced Technology Search Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop sheet metal enclosures and systems for high‑speed networking core switch products in San Jose, CA.

You will oversee vibration, thermal and stress considerations, work with Signal Integrity, Power Integrity and NPI teams, and rely on CREO for CAD modeling to deliver robust electronics enclosures.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of experience in sheet metal enclosure design for electronics.
• Telecommunications/high-speed networking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop sheet metal enclosures and systems for core switch products.
• Oversee vibration, shock, thermal, and stress considerations.
• Interface with Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and NPI teams.
• Utilize CREO for detailed CAD modeling.

Job description

Our client is a leader in High Speed Networking, Ethernet, and Core Switch technology. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for designing and developing sheet metal enclosures and systems for multiple core switch products.

• This person will have an aerial/peripheral view of the entire mechanical design process pulling together all of the system elements including vibration, shock, thermal, and stress.
• The ideal candidate will have a BS (preferably in mechanical engineering) with 8 or more years of experience in sheet metal enclosure design for electronics- preferably in the telecommunications/high-speed networking space.
• Will interface heavily with Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and NPI.
• CREO experience is an absolute MUST for this role.
• This role requires candidates to be Green Card Holders or US Citizens.
