Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years relevant industry experience or 4 years with MSEE.
• Experience with 3D mechanical design tools, such as NX or Creo.
• Knowledge of mechanical material properties, especially metals and plastics.
• Experience with power connectors and bus bar design.
• Hands-on lab experience on system assembly in lab.
• Understanding of mechanical tolerance analysis.
• Familiarity with reliability lab measurement equipment (EMC scan, ESD gun, shaking table, environment chamber, acoustic equipment).
• Strong self-motivation, ownership of projects, and clear written/verbal communication in a diverse team.

Job description

Successful candidates for this position will have:

• BSME w/6 years’ relevant industry experience (or equivalent degrees) or MSEE w/4 years of experience.
• Required minimum 3 years experience on 3D mechanical design tools, such as NX, Creo,
• Required experience and working knowledge of PCB board placement
• Solid understanding of all mechanical material properties, mainly on metal, plastic, TIM, EMI gasket
• Experienced and knowledgeable of power connector, and bus bar design
• Hands on lab experience on system assembly in lab
• Understand mechanical tolerance analysis
• Fundamental understanding of reliability lab measurement equipment: EMC scan, ESD gun, shaking table, environment chamber, acoustic equipment.
• Self-motivated - candidates should enjoy leading and taking ownership of assigned projects, exhibit good written and verbal communication skills, and can work well in a diverse team environment.

What You'll Do

• As an experienced Mechanical Engineer, you would be responsible for mechanical design, analyzing the technical specifications and system mechanical requirements to determine best approach, feasibility of schedule and cost constraints for mechanical system & thermal solutions. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within Cisco by harnessing new testing technologies and methodologies. Provide exceptional support to external and internal customers, team members, and other persons and functional groups through technical project cooperation.
• You will cover the mechanical design for ToR chassis, Modular chassis, PCB board placement, system thermal solutions thru liquid cooling and air cooling.
