This role involves support for projects related to water resources, ranging from planning to construction. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and strong skills in CAD and analytical modeling.

GEI’s Mechanical engineering group needs staff to support its growing client base and is seeking an associate to senior level Mechanical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team. The successful candidate must have excellent academic credentials and a strong desire to work on a broad range of small to larger size projects related to water resources from planning to final design, construction engineering support, and start‑up. Design experience and strong interest with hydro‑plants and water control gate and valve systems is desired. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD design, analytical modeling and other engineering software and will possess the skills needed to apply such tools when completing the various phases of projects from conceptual planning and analysis, through final design. Candidate must have experience in analyzing project needs, the ability to develop concepts and designs, and work with a team of design engineers in successfully completing projects. The ideal candidate will also possess the skills below along with excellent organizational and communications skills and the ability to work closely with other engineers, technical staff, and client representatives.

Occupational exposure risk potential: reasonably anticipated, not anticipated; blood borne pathogens, chemical, airborne communicable diseases, extreme temperatures, radiation, uneven surfaces or elevations, extreme noise levels, dust or particulates. Usual workday hours: 8, 10, 12; other work hours.
