Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3+ years of HVAC design experience with an MEP consulting firm.
• Hands-on experience with Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with load calculation software such as Carrier HAP or Trane TRACE.
• Working knowledge of NYC codes and ASHRAE standards.
• Long-term growth with one firm.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings in NYC.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and equipment selection.
• Lay out ductwork and hydronic piping systems.
• Produce clear construction drawings in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ensure designs meet NYC Mechanical Code, Energy Code, and ASHRAE standards.
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams to integrate designs.

A well-established MEP and fire protection consulting firm in Manhattan is expanding and adding three Mechanical Engineers to its growing team. The firm has hired steadily this year, has very low turnover, and invests in training its engineers. What You'll Do

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings in NYC
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and select equipment
• Lay out ductwork and hydronic piping systems
• Produce clear, accurate construction drawings in Revit and AutoCAD
• Make sure designs meet the NYC Mechanical Code, Energy Code, and ASHRAE standards
• Work with the electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams to coordinate designs

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 2 to 3+ years of HVAC design experience with an MEP consulting firm
• Hands-on experience with Revit MEP and AutoCAD
