Job summary

Evergreen Talent Partners is seeking a Fire Protection and Plumbing Engineer in New York, NY. The role involves designing sprinkler, standpipe, and fire pump systems for busy NYC projects, as well as domestic water and piping systems, with emphasis on NFPA and code compliance.

You will produce construction drawings in Revit and AutoCAD, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate across mechanical and electrical teams. A strong background in NFPA standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, or related engineering field.
• 4 to 5+ years of fire protection and/or plumbing design experience with an MEP consulting firm.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, and 20.
• Hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with hydraulic calculation software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with speed and accuracy.

A well-established MEP and fire protection consulting firm in Manhattan is growing and looking for a Fire Protection and Plumbing Engineer to join its team. The firm has hired steadily this year, has very low turnover, and runs a busy, fast-moving practice with a steady flow of projects across New York City. What You'll Do

• Design sprinkler, standpipe, and fire pump systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings in NYC
• Design domestic water, sanitary, storm, and gas piping systems
• Perform hydraulic calculations and size fire protection and plumbing systems
• Produce clear, accurate construction drawings in Revit and AutoCAD
• Make sure designs meet NFPA standards, the NYC Building Code, NYC Plumbing Code, and FDNY requirements
• Coordinate with the mechanical and electrical teams on multiple projects at once

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, or a related engineering field
• 4 to 5+ years of fire protection and/or plumbing design experience with an MEP consulting firm
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, and 20
