WEG Electric Corp. in Minneapolis, Minnesota, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead high-level product design for motors, generators, and magnetic drives.
You will support orders from proposal through design, development, manufacturing, testing, and field service, working in a collaborative team environment. Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 2–3+ years in motor/generator design with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS/CFX experience.

POSITION: Mechanical Engineer
Primary Objective of Position:
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for high-level of execution of product design that specifies “what” is required (materials, tolerances, limits, etc.) on the product line documentation, that includes motors, generators and magnetic drives. Supports customer orders from the proposal phase through the design, development, manufacturing, testing, and field service/aftermarket phases. The Mechanical Engineer works in a team environment to insure collaboration and sharing of best mechanical engineering practices within the WEG Company.

Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities. This requires climbing stairs and moving over, around, and about shop machinery. Have the physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds unassisted.
$70k to $80k
Will compensate with experience. Position is full-time.
