Mason, OH / REMOTE

Must have: Structural Mechanical engineers, structural calculation, and permit drawings for conveyor systems.

Mission

Assist and check engineering teams in preparing mechanical client outputs, equipment distribution, perform equipment selection, define bill of materials, and product model configurations. Also perform materials ordering following project plans and schedules on medium and high complexity projects, with minimal supervision.

Perform mechanical design activities under the supervision of the mechanical engineering lead or lead a Mechanical Project Engineering team across various project sizes and complexities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Also conduct on-site commissioning to ensure equipment distribution within the building and proper process flow.

Main Accountabilities

1. Technical contribution: Prepare and coordinate mechanical engineering drawings using CAD systems in collaboration with engineering specialists. Prepare client outputs integrating various levels for material handling flow and support BOM definition accordingly, meeting manufacturing and customer schedules. Support site commissioning for equipment distribution and performance. Propose continuous improvements based on lessons learned.
2. Planning and control: Deliver in-house assignments within agreed timelines and quality standards for 2D/3D CAD work. Follow work plans and ensure cost estimates align with project budgets, troubleshooting, and support activities.
3. Processes and tools: Apply standard design practices and tools to prepare accurate drawings and 3D models. Ensure layout and equipment selection activities meet project specifications and contractual requirements. Report inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
4. Risk and opportunity: Support risk assessments during site commissioning and handle technical risks by following mitigation guidelines during equipment distribution phases.
5. Customer interaction: Engage with internal and external customers during project reviews and support their requests.
6. Industrial experience: Over 5 years of industrial experience. Relevant careers include Mechanical Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, Robotics.
7. Professional requirements: Must have a valid professional license and/or cedula. Driver's license is desirable.
