Weston is seeking a Senior Professional Mechanical Engineer with a background in mechanical or civil engineering required for water and wastewater treatment, conveyance systems, pressurized systems, and piping design. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in designing new systems as well as renovating existing ones, with leadership experience working with remediation systems, industrial treatment, manufacturing operations, and drinking water. The selected candidate will have a proven track record leading teams in multi-discipline designs and field commissioning, with a strong sense of community learning and mentorship.

Location:

Various Offices in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, or Dallas, Texas; West Chester, PA; Chicagoland Area, IL; or Concord, NH (remote considered for very strong applicants only)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 15 years related experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with active NCEES account and ability to quickly obtain registration in additional states as required.
• Knowledge and experience working with drinking water facilities, wastewater treatment and conveyance, remediation systems, energy providers, and government clients.
• Knowledge in conveyance piping design and pressurized piping design in manufacturing facilities, including calculating pump sizes, transient pressures, forces, pipe flow, and head loss.
• Familiarity with environmental consulting, permitting, and compliance.

• In-depth knowledge of analysis tools and modeling software for evaluating pipe networks and mechanical systems. Understanding CAD programs including AutoDesk Civil 3D, REVIT, and Plant3D is a plus.

• Experience preparing, issuing, evaluating, and negotiating construction bids for private and government projects.
• Effective communication skills for report writing, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Able to manage subcontractors and vendors, develop scopes of work, and respond to RFPs with technical approaches and competitive pricing.
• Able to supervise engineering staff and perform site visits with effective note-taking and field markups.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for Federal facilities work.

• Establishes a network of project and program management contacts for support in projects and proposals.
• Performs engineering calculations and analyses in accordance with design criteria.

• Assists in estimating and tracking project costs, schedules, and deliverables.
• Develops future leaders in design within the organization.
• Coordinates data evaluation, reports, designs, and specifications, and performs quality control checks.
• Leads proposal efforts and participates in professional organizations.
• Interacts with clients on project-specific tasks.

Salary Range: $96,500 - $128,900 - $161,000
