Job description

OEM Application Engineer - Sales

We are seeking multiple engineers or construction-related candidates with a strong HVAC background to work as Application Engineers or Project Engineers. This role involves collaborating directly with the Sales and Estimating teams. It is highly technical and requires excellent communication skills, as you will work directly with customers. Please note, this position does NOT include design work.

Responsibilities include:

• Review bidding documents, including mechanical plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Handle HVAC equipment selection, pricing, technical proposal writing, and develop cost analysis spreadsheets for bidding.
• Communicate with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and mechanical contractors for clarifications related to sales, applications, and projects.
• Possess experience in the HVAC industry related to estimating or be willing to learn.
• Be familiar with HVAC systems, air distribution products, and/or temperature control systems.
• Prepare proposals and pricing breakdowns while evaluating equipment savings and costs.
• Assemble bid files, including all development information, in the customer relationship management (CRM) system to prepare estimates.
• Be responsible for the cost estimation of HVAC or air distribution equipment and systems for assigned bid opportunities.
• This position is geared towards a sales career path.
