CONVERGIX Automation Solutions in Michigan is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design equipment that meets customer specifications while aligning with performance, durability, and cost targets.

You will work with mentors to progress toward a Lead Mechanical Engineer role, with flexible hours and limited travel to customer/vendor sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Work effectively in cross function teams.
• Organizational/prioritization and creative problem solving skills.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software; further training provided.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong math aptitude; ability to perform sizing and strength calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of mechanical systems and hands-on approach.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Journeyman tool maker.
• 3+ years experience in mechanical system design.
• Reliable transportation and travel; travel to customer/vendor facilities limited.

Role

Be Part of a fast paced, leading edge Automation Equipment Design and Manufacturing company. In this position will be responsible for timely and quality completion of equipment design per the customer specifications. You will refine design concepts into practical, manufacturable designs that meet performance, durability, and cost targets. Experienced engineers will mentor you to learn automation and help you grow to be a Lead Mechanical Engineer. This position reports to Mechanical Engineering Manager.
