Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join the team and drive timely, high-quality equipment design per customer specifications. You will translate concepts into practical, manufacturable designs meeting performance, durability, and cost targets, under mentorship from the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical skills, strong CAD experience, and a collaborative mindset to grow into a lead role while supporting a dynamic

Be Part of a fast paced, leading edge Automation Equipment Design and Manufacturing company. In this position willbe responsible fortimelyand quality completion of equipment design per the customer specifications.You will refine design concepts into practical, manufacturable designs that meet performance, durability, and cost targets. Experienced engineers will mentor you to learn automation and help you grow to be a Lead Mechanical Engineer.This position reports toMechanical Engineering Manager.

KeyResponsibilities

• Work hours are flexible around your schedule.
• Interfacing with other disciplines onprojectteam.
• Design equipmenttocustomer specifications andsoldbudget.
• Supporting the Lead Mechanical Engineeron theproject.

Qualificationsand Experience

• Work effectively in cross function teams.
• Organizational/prioritizationand creativeproblem solvingskills.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software, further training will be provided.
• Proficient in MS office.
• Strong math aptitude and ability to perform sizing and strength calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of mechanical systems and hands on approach.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Journeymantool maker.
• Reliable transportation andanability to travel;travel to customer/vendor facilities will bevery limited.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this position, the employeeis regularly required tostand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel,talkand hear.
• Occasionallyliftsor move up to 25 pounds.
