Are you a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and turning engineering concepts into efficient manufacturing solutions?
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Devens, MA. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and optimizing assembly processes across hose, pumps, extrusion, injection molding, and single-use assemblies.
You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and global teams to improve manufacturing performance, support new product development, increase productivity, and help drive the continued growth of our Devens manufacturing operation.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost, and manufacturing efficiency.
Develop, standardize, and implement tooling, fixtures, processes, and equipment across local and global manufacturing teams.
Partner with Production to identify opportunities to improve product quality, throughput, and productivity.
Develop and implement process controls and documentation to reduce scrap, rework, downtime, and other waste.
Support the expansion of the Devens manufacturing site, including developing and executing capital equipment requests.
Support New Product Development (NPD) teams by ensuring products can be manufactured using efficient, capable, and reliable processes.
Design and implement safe, ergonomic assembly equipment and work cells.
Specify, source, and oversee the procurement of jigs, fixtures, tools, gauges, and assembly equipment.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostics for assembly equipment and manufacturing processes.
Assist with investigating and resolving production issues and customer complaints.
Develop cost justifications for new equipment and processes designed to improve manufacturing performance.
Recommend corrective actions and work with suppliers when necessary to resolve technical and production issues.
Manage and ensure compliance with ECO/design change processes.
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and visual work instructions.
Ensure manufacturing processes meet applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience or equivalent.
Strong manufacturing background, preferably involving assembly and test operations.
Experience using SPC to monitor and maintain process consistency.
Experience analyzing assembly/test equipment and processes and implementing documented improvements.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process optimization techniques.
Experience with 2D and 3D CAD.
Hands-on experience with FMEA, DFMA, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Experience implementing and analyzing quality tools.
Demonstrated success leading or participating in Continuous Improvement projects.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively while maintaining critical project milestones and production uptime.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 per year
