Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Grand Rapids. You will design HVAC and plumbing systems, perform calculations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on diverse building projects.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET), 2+ years in A/E consulting, and a PE or licensure track. Proficiency in Revit and MS Office is essential for this position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Architectural/Engineering (A/E) consulting business.
  • PE license or working toward licensure.
  • Proficiency with Revit mechanical software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Design HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building projects.
  • Perform engineering calculations and develop construction drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
  • Support projects across industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, and higher education markets.
  • Conduct field investigations, site visits, and engineering evaluations.
  • Provide construction-phase engineering support and resolve field issues.
  • Utilize Revit and other engineering software to develop and coordinate designs.
  • Communicate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Working with ourMechanical Engineering team, you willwork on a variety of different projects with several multidisciplinary professionals.

What You’ll Do
