Job summary

Fishbeck, a 100% employee-owned firm with 70+ years of building experience, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cincinnati. You will design HVAC and plumbing systems, perform calculations, develop drawings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary groups across industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, and higher education markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering ABET-accredited.
• Minimum 2 years in the A/E consulting business.
• PE license or pursuing licensure.
• Proficiency with Revit mechanical software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Self-motivated; able to manage tasks independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for building projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and develop drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support projects across industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, and higher education markets.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and engineering evaluations.
• Provide construction-phase engineering support and resolve field issues.
• Utilize Revit and other engineering software to develop and coordinate designs.
• Communicate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Working with ourMechanical Engineering team, you willwork on a variety of different projects with several multidisciplinary professionals.

What You'll Do

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building projects.

What You're Looking For

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

• PE license or working toward licensure.
• Proficiency with Revit mechanical software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively.
