Job description

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Systems Engineering department supporting the integration of autonomous driving technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and keen attention to detail, aligning successfully within the organization.

Pay Range:

$40-$44/hr

Responsibilities:
  1. Design electromechanical sensor assemblies, balancing requirements from multiple stakeholders.
  2. Create visual mockups, proofs of concept, and functional A-Samples to validate designs.
  3. Manage design and development activities for multiple internal and external suppliers.
  4. Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure performance and reliability.
  5. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ramp up production processes and meet build objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of industry experience; automotive experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design; Catia V5/V6 experience preferred.
  • Experience designing electronic modules in an automotive context.
  • Strong understanding of automotive sensing modalities and integration challenges.
