Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Field Service Engineer to join our team supporting Fortune 500 clients across North America. The role requires hands-on engineering, field service readiness, and collaboration with operations to resolve issues quickly.

Based in the Stone Mountain, GA or Sparrows Point, MD area, you will troubleshoot, script in modern languages, and contribute to project management efforts while traveling up to 30% as needed. Join Ascendion's community of change makers.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Experience scripting in modern program languages
• Experience in project management
• Strong communication and writing skills- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Required Skills

• BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Experience scripting in modern program languages
• Experience in project management
• Strong communication and writing skills- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Preferred Skills

• Aviation or Aerospace experience
• Experience with drone systems- Experience working with operations teams to resolve urgent issues
• Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools

Salary Range:

The salary for this position is between $50000 - $60000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
