Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to provide technical oversight on engineered projects. This role involves drafting and designing using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, performing application engineering on dry fertilizer conveying and blending equipment, and collaborating with project managers and sales teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Handle field issues and questions, applying drafting standards and best practices.

Essential Skills

• Fluent in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• 4-year B.S. Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Strong initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture, material handling, material blending, or the fertilizer industry.
• Possesses qualities such as productivity, dependability, resourcefulness, efficiency, and professionalism.

Work Environment

The role operates primarily Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The office is situated upstairs with the engineering department, and the position involves supporting computer design with occasional visits to the shop floor to inspect parts. Our work environment offers a relaxed atmosphere where team members can wear jeans and t-shirts. We promote a culture of seeing projects from development to fruition, offering the opportunity to witness the final product before shipping. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Dakota City, IA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
