Actalent in Old Saybrook, CT is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support product development from concept to production release. You will own CAD work, perform analyses, create production drawings, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5 years of design experience, and advanced SolidWorks proficiency, with familiarity in PDM and 3DX.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering and R&D team. This role involves supporting product development efforts from concept through production release. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on design engineering, CAD ownership, prototype support, and manage engineering documentation.

Essential Skills

Work Environment The role is set in an engineering and R&D environment, featuring cross-functional collaboration. It combines product development, CAD, and project execution tasks. The position offers onsite access to engineering leadership in a fast-paced development and support setting.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Old Saybrook, CT.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $44.00/hr.
