Job summary

K2M Design is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the AEC field. The successful candidate will apply extensive design and coordination experience on large, complex projects, acting as a subject matter expert and a trusted advisor to clients.

The role requires 5+ years in AEC engineering, a Bachelor's in Engineering (ABET-accredited), and a PE license is preferred. Only candidates in EST/CST time zones should apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in AEC engineering.
• Professional Engineering License, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects.
• Acts as liaison with Project Management, Architects, other Engineers, and consultants.
• Develops and represents the lead technical viewpoint on projects.
• Prepares reports and client correspondence on assigned projects.
• Travels for client meetings, consultant coordination, site surveys, construction administration, etc. 15% of time reserved for travel.

Position Summary: A Engineer who uses experience to perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in all aspects of engineering design for large and complex projects, serving as an SME on areas of expertise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects.
• Acts as liaison with Project Management, Architects, other Engineers, and consultants.
• Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
• Develops and represents the lead technical viewpoint on projects.
• Coordinates with Director on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
• Coordinates activities and provides developmental support/training to less experienced staff.
• Uses skills to resolve conflicting design requirements.
• Provides QA/QC review of deliverables.
• Prepares reports and client correspondence on assigned projects.
• Travels for client meetings, consultant coordination, site surveys, construction administration, etc. 15% of time reserved for travel.

Requirements
