Job summary

K2M Design, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an AEC Mechanical Engineer who brings passion for client success and a collaborative culture.

This role uses broad engineering experience on large, complex projects, serving as SME, coordinating with project management, architects, and other engineers.

Candidates should have an ABET-accredited B.S., 5+ years in AEC, PE license preferred, and reside in EST or CST time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in the field of AEC Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License, preferred.
• Position only available to candidates residing in EST and CST time zones.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional engineering consultation in planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects.
• Acts as liaison with Project Management, Architects, other Engineers, and consultants.
• Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring new techniques and procedures.
• Develops and represents the lead technical viewpoint on projects.
• Coordinates with Director on technical solutions and product strategies.
• Coordinates activities and provides developmental support to less experienced staff.
• Resolves conflicting design requirements using applied engineering skills.
• Provides QA/QC review of deliverables.
• Prepares reports and client correspondence on assigned projects.
• Travels for client meetings, consultant coordination, site surveys, construction administration; 15% travel.

Position Summary

A Engineer who uses experience to perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in all aspects of engineering design for large and complex projects, serving as an SME on areas of expertise.

Requirements
