Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber in Toledo, OH seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building projects. You will perform calculations, develop drawings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, ABET accreditation, at least 2 years in the A/E consulting business, and a PE license or progress toward licensure. Revit proficiency and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the A/E consulting business.
• PE license or working toward licensure.
• Proficiency with Revit mechanical software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building projects.

• Support projects across industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, and higher education markets.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and engineering evaluations.

• Communicate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Working with ourMechanical Engineering team, you willwork on a variety of different projects with several multidisciplinary professionals.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Architectural/Engineering (A/E) consulting business.
• PE license or working toward licensure.
• Proficiency with Revit mechanical software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively.
