  • Need to meet tight specifications as defined by company-standards and customer requirements.
  • Direct interface with fellow design engineers, as well as production and quality technical staff.
  • Key internal processes, like Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and production readiness reviews.
  • Direct customer interface for design views, to confirm details and to provide technical support; vendor interface needed to select sources and insure specifications on material.
  • Need to attend meetings: weekly engineering meetings, schedule reviews, internal or customer-attended design reviews, and production readiness reviews.
  • Development of ancillary requirements, like new product test plans, qualifying new materials, and process development.
  • Creative freedom to investigate new methods, materials, and product design architectures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering required,
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • 5 - 10 years of experience
  • Must be able to create, modify and understand SolidWorks models and prints; ability to code macros for SolidWorks a plus.
  • Experience with product design, process knowledge, and overall BLDC motors is preferred
  • Well organized, attention to detail, and reliable; able to track your own project and see it through the build and customer delivery process.
  • Ability to work independently, while still being well coordinated with others in the organization.
  • Solid Works, drawings and prints, 3D printing, and mechanical skills all are a must have.
