Job summary

Seaboard Foods is hiring a General Engineering Technician for our Guymon, Oklahoma processing plant. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and implement improvements across mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration systems to maintain production of 21,500+ animals per day.

The role requires an engineering degree (mechanical, mechatronics, industrial, or electrical) and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with strong analytical skills and willingness to learn new

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical, mechatronics, industrial, electrical or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant technician experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Must pass Mechanical Reasoning Test.
• Willingness to learn new computer systems.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule (four days on, three off).

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment per SOPs.
• Identifies improvement opportunities when troubleshooting to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Interprets work orders to determine repair, replacement, or maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoots and resolves process constraints to prevent downtime.
• Ensures equipment is set up correctly for maximum efficiency.
• Operates in designated mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration areas per procedures.
