Job summary

ADP, Inc. in McAllen, TX is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Tech to perform routine predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor and production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and safe operation.

The role requires reading blueprints and wiring schematics, calibrating instruments, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and maintaining logs. Overtime, weekends, and varying/rotating shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, technical school and/or military training and experience in relevant field (Electrical Tech, Industrial Maintenance, plumbing etc.)
• 3-5 years of manufacturing or facility work performing mechanical predictive and corrective maintenance, and performing instrumentation & calibration troubleshooting, mechanical-electrical assemblies.
• Strong experience reading blue prints and understanding wiring schematics ( required)
• Experience troubleshooting VDF/VDF-driven motors/ MCC's. 480 V Electrical Systems.
• Must speak English; ability to read, write and perform calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all mechanical and electrical equipment as required
• Trouble shoot problems in the event of equipment failure and recommend parts or solutions for effective repairs
• Sets up, calibrate, tests, measure and repair all types of electrical controls, instruments, and electronic components
• Performs mechanical repairs in productions equipment
• Monitors and maintains conveyors, mechanical equipment, controls, and electrical equipment to ensure effective and efficient service
• Read, writes, and assess drawings and mathematical formulas to determine equipment problems
• Maintain and control work order system and spare parts inventory
• Trains and develops other employees in performing preventive maintenance and routine equipment service activities
