Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking a Mechanic in Springtown, Texas to support equipment assembly in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The role involves safely assembling mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components using detailed work instructions, blueprints, schematics and various tools.

The candidate should be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working across multiple assembly areas as production needs shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics to assemble components
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies
• Detail-oriented with adherence to quality standards

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses and hydraulic components using power tools and manual techniques
• Install equipment accessories including decals, cameras and lights
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts
• Use hand and pneumatic tools to complete assemblies
• Measure materials and components with tape measures and related tools
• Read schematics and instructions to identify required options
• Lift and stack subassemblies up to 35 pounds; assist with heavier lifts up to 60 pounds
• Cross-train across multiple assembly areas and follow written work instructions
