Job summary

STS Technical Services in Terre Haute, IN is hiring an Assembler to support equipment assembly in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will assemble mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components using detailed work instructions, schematics and a variety of hand, pneumatic and power tools.

The role emphasizes dependability and attention to detail as you work across multiple assembly areas and follow Standard Work Instructions to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Evenings, weekends and holidays when required by business and production demands
• Regular and reliable on-site attendance

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses and hydraulic components using power tools and manual techniques
• Install equipment accessories including decals, mud flaps, cameras and lights
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts
• Use hand and pneumatic tools including wrenches, hammers and torque guns
• Measure parts and components accurately using tape measures
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses and small components
• Read schematics, blueprints and Standard Work Instructions
• Identify required options and assembly requirements
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts weighing up to 35 pounds independently
• Participate in team lifts for parts weighing up to 60 pounds
• Cross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as needed
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Maintain attention to detail and established quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow safety procedures and 6S standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
